Caroline Wilde

Ophthalmic and Oculoplastic Surgeon

Miss Caroline Wilde is an award-winning ophthalmic and oculoplastic surgeon, specialising in both surgical and non-surgical procedures around the eyes, forehead, and mid-face. Since graduating with honours, she has gone on to receive multiple accolades and widespread acclaim for her work and research. Miss Wilde has continually proven herself to be a first-class medical professional, demonstrated by her track record of academic excellence. Her successes include a distinction for her Masters of Research at UCL and winning the esteemed Florence Nightingale Prize for her work at the University of Liverpool. She has presented her research internationally and published several articles in peer-reviewed journals, one winning her the prestigious Théa Trophy, presented at ARVO in Vancouver. After completing seven years of ophthalmology training and two fellowships at the renowned Moorfields Eye Hospital, she was invited by her mentor, Mr Daniel Ezra, to join his distinguished Harley Street team. In addition to clinical work, Miss Wilde is dedicated to sharing her expertise through teaching and training. As part of the Vision 2020 project, she has written the oculoplastic curriculum for trainee ophthalmologists and will be travelling to Ghana in 2022 to provide hands-on surgical training.

Manish Raval

Consultant Anaesthetist

Manish is a consultant anaesthetist with his NHS practice at Moorfields Eye Hospital. Previously he was employed at Guy’s & St Thomas Hospitals. He trained mainly across London and the South East also spending two years in Melbourne, Australia. Voluntary work with charities & aid agencies has taken him across the world: East Timor, Vietnam, China, Mongolia, Ghana, Zambia, Sierra Leone and Peru.His career now centres on ophthalmic anaesthesia but he especially enjoys the medical challenge of looking after children of all ages. His clinical interests extend to resuscitation: he chairs the Trust Resuscitation Committee and is an instructor for life support courses. Manish is a keen educator and is an examiner for the Royal College of Anaesthetists professional examinations.

Jo Neagu

Senior Nurse

“Nurse Jo”, is a senior nurse with over eight years of experience specialising in non-surgical aesthetic treatments. Jo held a number of senior nursing roles in private healthcare, perfecting her clinical skills to an advance level. Jo works alongside Daniel Ezra, supporting patients undergoing surgery both in the pre and post-operative periods. Jo specialises in maintenance treatments such as fillers, profhilo, mesotherapy and advice on creams/topical treatments to maximise skincare and enhance post-operative results, ensuring that patients get their desired result. In addition to this, Jo’s unique expertise in periocular aesthetics means that she provides skincare consultations after surgery which are included in the pricing for all aesthetic eyelid surgery offered as part of Daniel Ezra’s Practice.

Tessa Fayers

Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon

Tessa Fayers is a consultant ophthalmic surgeon at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, working at the Western Eye Hospital (adults) and St Mary’s Hospital (children). She specialises in all aspects of eyelid and lacrimal surgery.She graduated with Honours from Bristol University Medical School and was awarded a First Class Honours Bsc in Psychology. She won awards from the Wolfson Foundation, the Institute of Medical Ethics and the Bristol Medico-Chirurgical Society.Ms Fayers trained at St Thomas' Hospital, King's College Hospital, the Western Eye Hospital and the Royal Free Hospital. She did more than two years of subspecialist fellowship training in oculoplastic, orbital and lacrimal surgery at Moorfield's Eye Hospital, London and the University of British Colombia, Vancouver, Canada, for which she was awarded a TFC Frost Fellowship and research awards from the Royal College of Ophthalmologists and St Thomas' Hospital. In Canada she was awarded the University of British Columbia Department of Ophthalmology & Visual Sciences 25th Annual Research Day Prize. She is the Research Lead for Oculoplastics in the Imperial College Ophthalmic Research Group Clinical Trials Unit and is currently Chief Investigator for several clinical research trials. She has published numerous original research papers in high-ranking ophthalmology journals on topics including thyroid eye disease, blepharospasm and tear duct surgery. In 2015 she was awarded the American Academy of Ophthalmology Best Oculoplastic Paper, and her research was voted one of the top 15 papers presented at the meeting.She has a Diploma in Medical Education and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. She is an educational and clinical supervisor to trainee ophthalmologists in her NHS practice.

Karen Papier

Practice Manager

Karen has worked within medical practices since 1987, starting in the world of obstetrics and gynaecology, fertility, and then orthopaedics before coming to work for Daniel Ezra in 2013. She has been with him since the early days of his private practice and has enjoyed watching the practice grow and is now Daniel’s practice manager. Karen’s passion is football, and she is a big Liverpool fan who is always happy to show anyone a photo of her beloved Cockapoo, Archie.

Mandy Saffer

Mandy joined the team in July 2018, this is a new venture for her and one which she is very much enjoying. Prior to working for Daniel Ezra, Mandy’s roles have varied from business developer manager to working one-to-one with children with special needs. In her spare time Mandy enjoys volunteering, going to the gym and looking after her family.

Aly Shalson

Prior to joining Daniel Ezra’s practice in 2018, Aly spent her early career working in public relations in consumer marketing. She took a career break to bring up her three children before becoming a cookery writer and recipe developer where she became a major contributor to eight mainstream cookery books, five of which accompanied a popular TV series. In her spare time Aly enjoys the gym, theatre and watching TV documentaries.

Julie Davidson

Julie is the newest member of the team, previously working in public relations and communications for fashion and beauty brands and more recently a small charity. She likes writing and hearing people’s stories and is excited to be part of Daniel Ezra’s close-knit team. Outside of work, Julie enjoys spending time with her family, going out with friends and doing Pilates.
