Konstantina Sorkou
MD, MSc, PhD
Dr Konstantina Sorkou is a Greek Military Ophthalmic and Oculoplastic surgeon. She completed her studies with distinction at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece and has lectured for the Masters of Ophthalmic Surgery degree for the last two years. She trained in the Hellenic Military Academy for Combat Officers, currently holding the rank of Captain in the Greek Army.
She was also awarded distinctions for both her Doctorate Dissertation and her MSc in Medical Research Methodology, detailing electron microscopy studies for cataract and pseudoexfoliation syndrome. The results of her research were published and presented in international medical journals and congresses.
In 2021, she moved to the UK with her family and over the last two years has been working as an Oculoplastic Fellow and has now joined the Ezra Clinic for advanced aesthetic training.
Throughout her career, she has performed numerous eyelid and lacrimal operations, including blepharoplasty, brow lift, entropion, ectropion and ptosis repairs, skin cancer excisions and reconstructions with flaps and grafts as well as endonasal DCRs. Furthermore, she is highly experienced with BoNT and intradermal filler injections.
Her surgical skills reflect her artistic nature. As a talented musician with awards in accordion, violin and piano, Dr Sorkou approaches Oculoplastic Surgery and Eyelid Rejuvenation as an art form. She takes into consideration symmetry and harmony when planning and executing surgical procedures, aiming for the best possible outcomes and for natural results.
